PAVI Lectures at Terry Fox High
Instructor Supervisor Ken Burke and Digital Audio Workstation instructor Kris Siegers spent the day at Terry Fox Secondary school. The duo gave a Q & A about the entertainment industry and presented a demo of Pro Tools, Elastic Audio and the Hybrid synthesizer.
Steve Sainas established the Rock School and Recording Arts programs at Terry Fox in 2000/2001 and has developed them into one of the most successful music programs in public education. In Rock School, students form their own rock bands. The students can choose whatever songs they wish to perform with the goal of putting on a professional full production rock show in the Terry Fox Theatre at the end of each semester. This is their final exam for this full credit music course.
The next 2 shows are on January 11th and 12th, 2012 @ 7 PM at the Terry Fox Theatre and will feature approximately 24 bands over two nights.
