PAVI Students Move Mushroom Studios

Musician and studio owner John Wozniak is moving his Mushroom Studios to a new home in Toronto to continue to serve the international recording community. PAVI students Jesse and Marcus Mrau assisted in the tear down and packing of a rather large Neve 8068/8066 console and a large collection of vintage recording equipment for the cross Canada journey under the direction of engineer Keith Stein.

Quoting John, "Jesse and Marcus are just really outstanding kids. If either of them ever need a letter of recommendation from me, consider it done. I would also hire either one of them to run, and eventually assist on sessions, without hesitation. "

John is known for his group Marcy Playground who emerged into the mainstream with the success of the single "Sex and Candy". The song spent 15 weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Modern Rock Tracks chart. The album went platinum and managed to spawn two other singles, "Saint Joe on the School Bus" and "Sherry Fraser".
