Tour of Rocky Mountain Sound & McCauley Demonstration

Students of the Pacific Audio Visual Institute were given a tour of systems and equipment at Rocky Mountain Sound on June 22nd.

Also in attendance was Daniel Casado, director of engineering for McCauley P.A. Manufacturing USA. Daniel made a trip to Vancouver to guest lecture and demonstrate the new M421 Subwoofers to the students.

The M421 incorporates four 21” long-excursion neodymium motor transducers with 6” voice coils, continuous power handling capacity in excess of 12,000 watts (24,000 watts instantaneous peak) and a maximum peak output of 155 dB SPL (at 1 meter).

Car alarms were going off for blocks in every direction and the Vancouver City Police stopped by to investigate the low rumbling “earthquake”.
