PAVI AEP Students Tour Historic Commodore Ballroom
PAVI AEP Students currently taking the ‘Live Sound’ course, part of the Audio Engineering & Production program, were treated to a full technical tour of the historic Commodore ballroom by assistant technical director Carita Sword.
The Commodore Ballroom is a 990 person capacity ballroom modeled after the
English ballrooms of the 1920’s. It is located on the second floor, with a mezzanine
level opposite the stage, and features a 2500 sq.’ sprung dance floor. The Commodore
has been Canada’s premiere concert venue for over 75 years featuring hundreds of artist from the Clash, Dire Straits and the Police to BB King, Tina Turner and Buddy Rich Big Band.
