PAVI Film & Digital Arts Program goes HD

The PAVI Film & Digital Arts Program has just purchased a Panasonic AG-HM150P High Definition camera package. Representing a major step forward in HD video capture, the HMC150 utilizes highly efficient AVCHD recording, the industry's new long GOP standard based on MPEG-4, to provide stunning image quality and longer record time. This powerful, versatile camera shoots in a variety of HD formats including 1080/60i, 1080/30p, and 1080/24p.

Additionally, for the start of the May 2009 semester, Classroom A will be outfitted with all new high performance, HD compatible computers featuring advanced processing, memory, monitors and hard drive storage. Students will learn filmmaking utilizing the comprehensive Adobe Suite HD workflow with such programs as Premier Pro, After Effects, Flash and Photoshop.
